Come to the monthly meeting of the Portland corgi Meetup Group! I hope to provide an opportunity for other corgi owners to get together and share information, as well as give our dogs a chance to play with others who are just their size!

We will be meeting again at Normadale Park in NE Portland, as this site seemed to be convenient for most group members. Finally Summer is here!

I'm sorry I can't make the meeting. I am still very much interested in a corgi mix female. Especially mixed with a beagle but I would be happy to look at any mix. I'm sure most of you have purebreads, but maybe someone has some mixed pups or are expecting them. Thank you, Beth Monaghan [masked]

It was a brisk day! The dogs loved it! Couldn't run around enough. Felt bad for the bostons though it was a bit to chilly for them.

I'm not sure why the meetup was moved to the "big dog" part of the park. It seemed odd to have all the bigger dogs in with the corgis and Bostons. It was a different mix of people this time, also. Not too much socialization between people as much as the dogs.
    •  Gill and I had a great time
    •  It was so much fun! the only downside was the Boston terriers they are weird little bug-eyed dogs. i may just be partial to corgis. well cuz they rock. but that's my opinion.

I don't think this is a normal thing, but there were more big dogs than we expected. It made me nervous that the big dogs were chasing and trying to play with our littler one (corgi pup). The area was bigger than we thought too. Doesn't mean we wouldn't try again and hope for more corgi/small dog attendance and less big dog.
    •  It was nice having all of the Corgis together. Overall it was a good thing for my dogs and nice to meet other owners. A more private meet-up or different park may be a better option for future meet-ups.
    •  We were really excited to attend, but felt there were too many dogs (ie. big dogs) in too small of an area. So, we did not stay.
