My wife and I are looking to adopt a Corgi. We have been thinking about this for about two years, have read up on the breeds and even babysat a friends corgi for a month while they were out of the country so we would know what we are getting into. The time has come to adopt and we are looking for a puppy or adolescent dog. Prefer male, but not necessary. We are not looking to show or breed so AKC is irrelevant to us. We want happy, healthy and good temperament. We don't have kids and won't be having any but we do have cats, so socialization with other fury friends is a plus.

If anyone knows of a dog in need of a good home, we can pay, please let us know. We are very serious and looking forward to adding a new fuzzy member to our family.

A corgi is a great choice, JIm! They are wonderful and most that I have known are really good with cats.
I'll keep my eyes open for you. Check this site often, because folks will often post here when they hear about a corgi in a shelter or that need to be re-homed.

Also, scroll down to AJ's post from a couple weeks ago. She was looking for a corgi and found her Ein. There is a link to the corgi rescue organization in that thread.

Good luck!smile

Hi Jim,

The family that I got my corgi Dutch from has one puppy (born in the beginning of May) and one adult male for adoption. You can get more information here: http://puppies.bigelb.... The Bigelbachs are super sweet and their corgis are their family. The adult male that is available is Dutch's dad "Duke". He is a beautiful tri-colored male who is very sweet and loving. I'd adopt him myself if I had the room for another dog!

Best of luck finding your new family member!

Hi Jim,

You may also want to try contacting the Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of SoCal (http://pwccsc.org/).... They have a rescue group. But they also can put you in touch with a breeder that may have puppies, or show dogs that they are retiring.

Good luck!

Jim,
Both of my females are going in which I will be having a litter soon. I have bred corgis for over 30 years and have plenty of people within this group that have some of my babies. So if you want a baby contact me at graceex@aol.com I will be more than happy to consider you for a parent for one of my own babies. Thanks Grace Parrott
