Poway Dog Park is an award-winning 1.75 acre fenced-in, lighted, off-leash area for dogs within the City of Poway's Community Park. Poway Community Park is open from sunrise to sunset daily. Lights in the dog park off-leash area extend evening hours to 9:30 p.m.

Between 50 and 150 dogs visit the park each day with their owners. The dogs play, run, sniff, "exchange mail," and chase each other in carefree games of tag in three fenced areas. Each area is supplied with drinking water to quench the dogs' thirst, picnic benches for humans to sit and discuss their canine companions, and even a retired fire hydrant that acts as a post office for canine mail.

We have reserved Area 3 (*** changed from Area 1 ***) for our Corgi Meetup group. Come on out for more fun and frolics with new friends and old friends too. We look forward to seeing you there.

Parking is available in big parking lots.

Bring water dishes, dog toys, beach chairs, anything else for your own comfort and the comfort of your furry friend. The area has shade trees and some seating available.

This will be the first get together for the newly reconstituted San Diego Corgi Meetup Group. Everyone is welcome - bring your spouse, friends, kids, and dogs.

These happenings are very informal - we just get together and visit with each other while the dogs scamper around and chase balls, or each other, or generally raise havoc. Dress for the park and dog activities - to me, that means comfortable and casual, maybe even grubby.

Show up whenever you want and leave whenever you want. At this venue, there is no designated place where we're meeting. Just come on out and look for other people with Corgis! We are pretty easy to spot!

This park is not fenced, so you are responsible for the safety and behavior of your own dog and for keeping track of your dog. Please expect that there will be a bunch of dogs of all sorts running around with and without leashes. We expect that attendees will help keep the area clean and will pick up after their own dog too.

Sadly, my husband JB and I will be on vacation and will miss this meeting, but we'll meet you in October. Please come out and join in the Corgi fun! And tell your Corgi friends too.

Parking is available on the street.

Bring water dishes, dog toys, beach chairs, anything else for your own comfort and the comfort of your furry friend.
