Carol Martin

Our September Meetup is coming up next week. Sorry for the late notice, but it's been a bit hectic of late.
A couple of notes:

1. We've had a number of folks looking for corgis to adopt and also some corgis available for adoption over the past couple months. I sometimes send out an email, but really the best way is for you (and people you know) to post pictures and comments on our Message Board. Then people can get used to going there as a resource.

2. Would you like to be involved as an Organizer for this group? JB and I have done it for several years now and we're thinking it might be nice for someone else to join in the fun. It doesn't take much time- and the Meetup site does all the organization work for you. If you are interested in helping out as Ass't Organizers or taking over completely or anything in between, give me a holler (via email) and let's talk. JB and I are going to be traveling more over the next few years and we likely won't be around as much. So, I think it would benefit the group to have other folks involved in the admin side.

3. JB and I are on vacation in Wyoming right now. We won't be attending the meeting on next Saturday. But we'll see you in October. We will (of course) have a Halloween Costume Contest for our October meeting. Jake, Louie and Rosie send their regards.

4. Mark your calendar. Our November and December meetings will both be on the THIRD Saturday - not the Fourth - to steer clear of the holidays at the end of those months. The November meetup will be on 11/21. The December meetup will be on 12/19.

Have a wonderful day.

Woof, Carol

    •  The weather must have irritated some of the Corgies there were a few too many aggressive attitudes. The issues were handled, but if your Corgi is not puppy friendly then there is no real reason to expose other Corgies to that attitude. The overall population of Corgidum was happy and playful. Had some chasing and running, a little herding action too. The humans were well behaved too! Corgies can train their humans!
    •  Toby had a wonderful time and seemed to know he was with his own kind! It was fun to see so many Corgis together.
    •  I loved seeing all the Corgis again, and meeting new corgis and owners.

We came late..there were still some corgis there but the majority of everyone left.....next month we will be there on time so wall e can have more corgi friends to play with....he had a blast though...he played in every water bowl he could find and got nice and muddyy haha
    •  A bit too hot for fun & frolic. Most corgis didn't seem to mind! Corgidom was very well behaved for the small dog run. Emma kept creeping from shady spot to shady spot! You probably met her while she was under your chair! Lack of grass made all doggies turn BROWN, & all probably got a bath or went to the beach (like us) afterward. I'd prefer visiting Harry Griffen Park in cooler months.

All of us had a great time. Lots of involvement by both dogs and owners. Can't wait until October.
    •  We had a great time. We were visiting from ND and it was our first Corgi meetup. Although our dog was shy and didn't interact much with other dogs, it was a great exposure for her and so much fun for us to see so many Corgis in one place at the same time. We will definitely attend again when we're visiting San Diego. Thank you so much for organizing these events!

Our first time with our puppy Morgan she was a bit scared at first but after awhile and some helpful tips she was fine thank you and we look forward to the next one.
    •  It was nice to finally make it to one. This park is in a good location, it's too bad it doesn't have grass
    •  We had a blast. My fiance' and I loved seeing our dog Colby go wild with others that looked like him. He had fun and so did we. Thanks.
