This is our regular monthly meetup event at Marymoor off-leash park. If you haven't joined us yet, this is the perfect time to meet the group and romp with other corgi owners. If you are new to the area, Marymoor Park is a fabulous place to take your dog. Come experience the fun of walking around with a large pack of corgis. Sometimes it's tough to stay together, so don't worry if the group stretches out a bit- we usually stop at several places along the way to catch up or if people need to leave. Always fun to meet new friends, share dog stories and trade training tips. Please contact any of the organizers if you have questions. See you at the park! We meet at Lot D near the pay station at 10:00. http://metrokc.gov/p arks/images/marymoor map.gif

Hi Everyone, In case you haven't walked for the animals yet this summer, here's one last chance. It's a 5k on the Burke Gilman trial, a really nice place to walk if you ask me! It's also really enjoyable to walk in a large group of people and animals. Everyone is very considerate, dogs are under control and people are happy to be outside with their pets! This is a benefit for the Seattle Humane Society and donations and pledges are accepted. I've pasted the website above, so if you want details, you can go there. If someone wants to step in as a guest organizer for this event, just post a message so that others can find you the day of the event. There should be lots of treats and free goodies throughout the day at University Village. Have fun! Jamie

Couldn't let fall get here without having one last chance to camp with the corgis. We hope you can join us for the weekend or just for Saturday, at the KOA in Burlington. We've blocked a section of campsites all together, some are tent sites and the rest have electric and water hookups. The KOA also has small cabins (dogs allowed) and sites with sewer hookups for those who need them. If you'd like to join us, call the 1-800 number and tell them you are with the Corgi Meetup Group. They'll reserve a site for you, either in our blocked out area, or wherever you want to be for the type of camping equipment you have. For the dogs, there's a large open field to play in. For humans, there are lots of amenities too, including free showers, wifi, and microwaves. For more information check their website: http://www.koa.com/w here/wa/47150/ We'll do dinner Friday & Saturday and breakfast Saturday and Sunday together potluck style and more information will be posted about that once we know how many people plan to come. I'm assuming that most of us will arrive Friday evening around dinner time and leave Sunday late morning/early afternoon.
