For those of us who live on the northend, here's a fun place to visit. Lord Hill is a wooded park set admist 1300 acres. The park is typically used by horses and mtn bikers, but never have I seen more than a few people when I've gone. The first part is downhill, then uphill, and then evens out. The main trail is wide, but there are a few narrow spurs to explore as well.

I consider leashes optional here, as there's no one here. If I do encounter a horse, I just turn around or get out the leash. There's a couple beaver ponds and maybe a view if we get to the lookout. I know this park and use it frequently. It's a great park for exercise and exploration! Tired doggies are guaranteed. April is a great time as the trees will be leafing out and bird activity will be high. See you there!

Here are directions: Take the Snohomish-Wenatchee exit off of I-5 onto US2 in Everett to second (east) Snohomish exit off US2; turn right onto 2nd Ave; turn left onto Lincoln Ave S which becomes the Old Snohomish-Monroe Hwy; turn right onto 127th Ave SE; drive south approximately 2-1/4 miles; turn left onto 150th St SE and proceed to the park entrance on the left.

For those of you coming from Monroe or places east, take Old Snohomish-Monroe Rd from Main st. (Main St. turns into Snohomish-Monroe Rd. and follow to 127th, which will be a left turn. You may see a sign near that turn. 127th is a long, steep hill past houses. Go straight to the park entrance on the left. There's lots of parking, but if people want to meet in Snohomish, that can be arranged too.

    •  Great walk! Good to see everybody and to meet Joshua and his humans too! There ended up being two groups of us since some of us started at about 11:15 and three more arrived a few minutes after that.
    •  Tired, muddy, stinky, happy dogs.
    •  Thanks everyone for a nice spring walk through the park!
